Visit the magnificent Blue Cave without waiting in line for hours, explore the secret Medvidina Cave, take a selfie in front of Stiniva Bay, dive into the blue oasis at the island of Budikovac and cap off your day with Dalmatian heavenly cuisine on Hvar.
The Blue Cave tour became extremely popular and well-advertised, which brought its down side – the crowds. We altered our tour in the best way to avoid waiting in lines but still visit all the cool places. At the end of the day, it’s not about how many attractions you have seen, it’s about how much fun you’ve had.
After buying tickets for the Blue Cave, we will spend our time exploring the Medvidina Cave instead of waiting in line for an hour or two. This nature`s work of art was one of the last known habitats of the Mediterranean monk seal. The inside of the cave is extremely dark and it hides a small sandy beach at its very end. A GoPro and a head lamp would be a nice combo here.
Spacious, blue and simply spectacular. You have seen it in pictures many times, it pops out on every Google search mentioning Croatia. Is it really that beautiful? – Yes, it really is. Is it worth wasting a whole day of your vacation just to spend a few minutes inside the cave? – Absolutely not, and that is why we`ve planned our tour to avoid the waiting time and seize the day to its fullest.
Often described as a “beach inside a mountain”, Stiniva is unique due to its characteristic tiny sea entrance between high monumental rocks. Due to high demand, the entrance is closed for boats, while swimming in it is allowed and free of charge.
A shallow sandy bottomed area covered with crystal clear warm water forms a safe playground for the kids and a true chill spot for the adults – bring out the beers!
Lunch time! A family run konoba set in an olive grove just a couple of minutes stroll from the beach serves sensational fish and meat dishes. Portions are huge, prices are reasonable, the ambient is stunning. Best restaurant on the island – by the words of many.
A gorgeous old city that transforms into a party town when the sun sets. 13th century walls surround beautifully ornamented Gothic palaces and traffic-free marble streets flooded with rivers of people all around the year, except during winter time.
Austro-Venetian Fortica located on the rocky cliffs above the coastline provides a spectacular view of the bay and Paklinski Islands.
Town square, St. Stephen’s cathedral, City Hall – impressive architecture combined with modern tourism means you won’t find the Mayor at the City Hall, but you can have a fancy meal on its terrace.
The Riva – a lively promenade full of yachts, restaurants, bars, and people from all over the world.
